I can't download anything

Everything I try to download always fails except for when I download something in Chrome. When I try to download a game on Steam, the connection goes up and down and stops completely. I can't even download an anti-virus but i find it unlikely to be a virus cos I've had my PC for 2 days. Windows Defender says I have no viruses too.

if you installed all of the mb and ethernet chipset drivers. and your getting errors. power off the pc. unplug it from the wall for safty and check that all the ram is locked in. make sure in the bios ram set tot xmp. if the error still there try one ram stick at a time you may have gotten a bad stick.
