I am currently trying to set up a static IP Address, and have come into contact with a pretty big issue. When I go to change adapter settings in Network and Sharing Center, there is no Local Area Connection for me to modify. Does anyone have any experience with these issues?

There's no LAN driver installed in that case, or is disabled. Download Ethernet/LAN drivers from your mobo support website and install them.

Try going Start+R > devmgmt.msc and click "Scan for hardware changes" in 'actions" menu above and see the drop down list on "Network Adapters" to see if something's disabled there.

Hey I went in my device manager, and the only disabled adapter was the family controller, which did not help when enabled. How do you download LAN drivers from a "Mobo" support website
