Supposedly I have to connect my new SSD to SATA port 0 to install Windows, but I have ports 1-6 and I don't know how to connect it to 0. I had my HDD coming up as port 0 at one point, but when i swapped the cable from the HDD to the SSD it was no longer port 0, it was port 1 or 2. Help?

first what is the motherboard. as i dont have sdd i will not be able to guide completely.
had u made ur sdd as primary or logical. as that could be the reason for it.
if it is primary remove your others than check in bios. if works install windows first and once done then try to connect others hdd

Well yeah, I mean when I format the drive in Windows Setup it makes it a Primary partition. I currently have only the SSD and a Blu-Ray disc drive (holding the Win 8 64bit disc) connected and I have been in and out of the bios a ton of times but i dont know what im looking for, and as for the settings i have read to set up in other threads, mine appear to already be set properly but it isnt working.
