I currently have a Samsung UE48 but it has developed 2 white spots, apparently this is common fault when things fall off on the side of the screen, sorry if that's not very technical !!!

I need to replace it with a decent TV but I'm on a small budget, work & consequently money are short right now ...

After a fair bit of research, I have decided that a HiSense 50U6G would be a decent buy, 50" is the size I want, I can't go bigger, and from my research I have ascertained that the 50U6G is a lot better than the 50A6G, however, I can't find the 50U6 on sale anywhere, though a 50A6K seems to be as common as a rainy day here in the UK !!!

This is a review of the 50U6G : https://www.techradar.com/reviews/hisense-u6g-uled-tv ...

If anybody knows of where I might be able to get my hands on one of these HiSense 50U6Gs I'd be extremely grateful, or otherwise if you could recommend something comparable with similar specs, costing up to £400, that would be brilliant 😎

Thanks in advance 👍

Going back a bit....

"apparently this is common fault when things fall off on the side of the screen,"

Meaning?

Overscan....?

or

Failing the above:

Are you able to take a screenshot or even a photo to show what is happening?

If so, do so and post the image(s) here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

1. Is that thing still under some kind of warranty? If so, you might be able to get it fixed for free.

2. Wait until Black Friday before pouncing. It's right around the corner, and you might be able to get a better deal. If nothing else, don't forget to comparison shop!!!

EDIT: U6G was discontinued and replaced by U6H. Hope that helps.

Avoid LG and Hisense as they are not Android TVs... no Google Play Store... big headache.

Plus, last fairly expensive Hisense I got, the lamps screwed up super fast, you could see where they were, super bright lines on the tv, columns really. Not impressed. Never again.

Are you game to try repairing your tv... look into it and see if there are guides.
Might be pretty cheap, might work, or might brick it... who knows?

Also, go for Sony Bravia or Samsung if you can.
