Question I can't get my msi x470 gaming motherboard to recognize more than 6 internal drives. I have tried several PCIe SATA card and nothing works

I've tried everything I can think of and can't figure out why it won't recognize the other drives. I even pulled some drives just to make sure the 2 new ones I am trying to add work and they do.

What drives, what adapters, what OS, where does it 'not show' ?

1 TB Adata SSD and a 2 TB Seagate
Win 10 Pro.
They aren't in Disk Management or File Explorer
