Hi so i have had this gaming laptop laying around for around 6 months, and when i finally want to use it
I forgot my Windows login password so I thought well i can just reinstall Windows as I dont have any important stuff on the laptop anyway, just a bunch of games.

So i put the Windows 11 installer on a USB stick via Microsoft website. I then restarted laptop, pressed key for boot menu and i get in and where i see all hard drives it does not even show up even tho windows is installed on it with password locked. So i took the SSD out from the laptop and placed it in one of those USB-C adapters for M.2 SSDs and when i launch it up on another pc it has a lock on the icon on the drive at MY PC. I went ahead and just formatted it using NTFS and the drive works fine, I can use it now as a storage drive. I plugged it back into my laptop and went into USB Windows install boot and no drive shows up?

I then took another older SSD that is just a 256gb so i never use it but it has a preinstalled windows 11 on it that works fine for other laptops. However this pc just runs into an error when booting and i get up the startup repair but it fails and i have to turn off the laptop.

It seems like something is blocking the pc from seeing drives and installing Windows.
I have made the SSD so its GPT converted as well and it works to load using my USB-C adapter and my desktop pc can detect the SSD and put files over but the laptop cant see it. I dont know if the laptop has some EFI files blocking considering i can't use another ssd either, none of them show up. The bios seems to detect the drive thoough, but not windows install.

What can i do so my laptop can see the drives?
I have more unused SSDs i can try with and install windows to them but if they don't show up its kinda hard. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
