Question I cant install any cab files. Need help.

The system cannot find the file specified.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

C:\WINDOWS\system32>

I am getting this error in every cab file that i want to install. Please help me.

2. Type following command after substituting correct CAB file path and press Enter key:



dism /online /add-package /packagepath:"<PUT-CAB-FILE-PATH-HERE>"



3. This should let you install the update.



If this doesn't works, re-check Windows Update Catalog website, and make sure you downloaded the correct update file. In case if the update is from third-party vendor, please try to get their support on the issue.



You can additionally run Windows Update troubleshooter to fix issues with Windows Update:

In case, if issue still persists, try resetting Windows Update components:

Thanks for the copy paste answer but, i already tried everything. It just doesnt want to work.

What is the exact command line you are using?
What is in the .CAB file? An update? If so, which one?

try moving the installation to a directory tree without space?
