Question I can't install .NET Framework 4.8 on Windows 7 32-bit ?

That goes through NordVPN installer, but I get: .NET Framework 4.8 failed code -2146762495
Any suggestions? I'm trying to do an SP3 installation to revive the updates....

My memory of anything from Microsoft was Windows Xp being the only OS that had an SP3 update, while Windows 7 had an SP2 SP1.

Hi from an old school PC builder. I remember the days of Windows 7. There is only SP1 available for WIndows 7. There are other updates available but keep in mind when using Windows 7 today be careful if you are using it online. Your router needs to have a hardware firewall operational and in Windows TLS 1.2 is the best security available on WIndows 7. Today it can still be compromised by hackers etc.

Windows 10 and 11 have advanced security and updates BUT Windows 10 will only be supported till October 2025. Today I have a 13 yr old PC running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit System Builder version. I use it daily for social media news internet surfing and games that will work in the Windows 7 environment, fully Firewalled in the Router and Windows 7 environment. But NOT for banking or other sensitive applications. You need Windows 7 SP1.

Look up information on how to setup Windows 7 safely in today's computer world. If your computer supports the SSE 4.2 CPU Instruction Set you can Install Windows 11 24H2. Just food for thought. Run CPU-Z to see your CPU specs. After Installing SP1 for Windows 7 NET Framework 4.8 can be installed.
