I cant run my game smoothly

hey, i recently downloaded gta 4 on my pc and i installed it to the latest patch (1.0.7), and the game doesnt run smoothly. can someone tell me what i need to buy or upgrade on my pc so it can run smoothly or atleast run from 50-30 fps, my budget below 1000$ because my country money cheaper than US and EU. my pc spec are 3gb ram, geforce gt 520 1gb gpu, e5700 dual core processor, 500gb hdd

GTA4 was a very badly ported game from console to PC and its normal to suffer heavy lag.

To run GTA 4 well you will need a whole new computer. I don't see anything out of that you could keep really except maybe the hard drive.

Even though the game might not be the best ported game from console to PC, you can definitely make some significant upgrades by getting a new video card, quad core CPU, and motherboard for under 500 usd. Keep the ram and hard drive.

It's probably DDR2 with a Core2Duo. No keeping that.
