[SOLVED] I can't seem to fix "Driver-Power-State-Failure" ?

So I've been having an issue with my computer for a while now, and can't find many people that have my exact problem.
I ran sfc /scannow a little bit ago and it found corrupt files, proceeded to fix them, and restart. However, I'm still having the same issue.

I can tell when the crash is going to happen cause my pc and game + audio freezes for a moment, and every time that happens I try to check diagnostics for temp problems but nothing works up to the crash.

After it reboots another weird thing I noticed was my 2nd rx580(which I can rarely utilize cause no crossfire support) is not detectable in Device managerm, gpu-z, or even AMD Radeon Software.

Also something to note: I never get my BIOS with these GPUs for some reason, but when I BSOD during the reboot, I see the MAG BIOS screen. I'm thinking it could be my 2nd GPU but want to see what you all think.

I had these two GPUs in another build before (with the same bsod issue) , but upgraded everything but them and the PSU, as well as the RAM, and I did a full reinstall of windows and all drivers.

These crashes don't happen all that often, maybe once a day or two, and they only happen while I'm gaming, but seem to happen more often if I'm watching videos while playing games.

PC Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x
x2 MSI Radeon RX580
16GB 3600MHz RAM
ATNG model number APED-1150FC-GO 1000w PSU
MAG B550 TOMAHAWK
1TB SSD
1TB HDD
256MB SSD

Comment: The overclocking driver "NTIOLib_X64.sys" was found on your system. (MSI Afterburner or other MSI software)

Possible Motherboard page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK
There is a BIOS update available for your system. You have version A.6 and the latest stable version is A.7. I usually recommend avoiding BETA versions. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

Weird, could AMD Radeon Settings built in overclocking be that? I don't think I have any of MSI's software installed.

all 5 mention that driver, so its either it or the GPU itself.
I would try ddu and reinstall the drivers clean and see if it helps.

I will try a clean install of the drivers, will I need access to my BIOS in order to boot in safe mode to uninstall the drivers or anything else? I have to borrow a GPU from a friend in order to get to BIOS unless it's directly after the BSOD for whatever reason (It did the same thing when I used my old motherboard).

Did you test running with only one GPU installed?

Yes many times, even switched GPUs around, and tried the same thing again after I put all my new parts in, because at first I couldn't even access my BIOS for my new Mobo, I had to get a friends MSI RX 580 8gb in order to see bios. I have 2x MSI RX 580 4gb.

A little side note, This computer was used for mining a long time ago, but every piece of this computer, save the GPUs and the PSU have been replaced or factory reset in the case of the secondary drives, I got a m.2 drive for my new primary drive.

That MSI driver is also part of MSI Centre, its here under utilities - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK#down-driver&Win10 64 - its used to update drivers and can also overclock CPU

Pretty sure windows won't just install it but its always possible there is a package of drivers MSI have supplied to Microsoft for board and it installed it.

I don't see many mining cards so hard to say if cause is the hardware. Could run with 1 GPU and see if you still get errors.

Okay so I had another crash and went to event viewer and can't make sense of what I'm looking at. after the crash dated 8/20/21 i get this info level event for my rx580

I used DDU and reinstalled my drivers, which fixed my BIOS issue at least for now (Yay!) , but the 2nd GPU hasn't been detected in the last few boots. I'll post an update if I crash again or my 2nd GPU causes issues when it shows up again.

Both events are obviously GPU related.
Driver Section: ati2mtag_Polaris10
ATI is who AMD bought to get the GPU technology originally.
https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/polaris
That and it mentions display.inf
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67DF&REV_E7 = Radeon RX580
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67DF&SUBSYS_34181462&REV_E7 is also a Radeon RX580

I would take 2nd GPU out if it only sometimes works, it could be cause of the BSOD

I've taken out the 2nd GPU as when I did a cold boot after shutting it down fully, it came back and I couldn't access my BIOS again. Hopefully it was just that GPU going south. I'll update if anything else happens, TY for all the help.

even without Gardenman converting that I can tell you it was GPU drivers.

or GPU.

both were used for mining

what drivers are you using each time? same ones or older?
I would suggest MSI drivers but they just link to AMD - https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Card/support/Radeon-RX-580-ARMOR-8G-OC#down-driver

Could run DDU again but instead of getting drivers direct from AMD, run windows update and let windows find drivers.

I managed to fix the first gpu, the Windows update drivers kept getting rolled back to and that was causing incompatibility, but taking out the second gpu has fixed all my original issues.
I can only guess that my 2nd gpu was malfunctioning, ty for all the help.
