Yes, I suspect that taking this to a shop would be your best bet. Diagnosing an issue on a PC that one can never see is already challenging, but it's very hard to diagnose an issue on a PC for which little to no information is given.
And in any case, if you're not comfortable enough technically to be able to even identify what you even have, then there's little prospect of being able to resolve this issue by yourself. A shop will cost money, but anyone fixing a PC needs to know as much about it as possible, and being able to physically interact and look at the PC means that they will be able to learn the crucial things about it that we cannot.
