I cloned a 55g ssd to a 240g ssd which then said the 240 was only 55, erased, still only 55. Tried Sandisk dashboard, cannot

Thanks for reply Macrium, fortunately I am only attempting to upgrade my laptop, but using the Mac to research possible solutions!
I am using AOMEI, it has been scanning to drive for over 20 minutes, (please wait message). Information says disk has 223g unallocated on 240g drive. I will give it a few more minutes till I aborthe

Put the original 55GB drive in.
Install Macrium.
Redo the clone to the new drive.

Installed Macrium but it will not see ther 240g. Have tried drive in an external dock, OK, can be seen by disk management, but not by sandisk ssd dashboard.
Disk management says the 240g 223.57 unallowcated & not inialized. I think it is time to dump it, though only 2 weeks old!

A drive advertised at 240GB, and seen within the OS as 223GB is absolutely normal.

base 10 vs base 2.

A 1TB drive will be see as 931GB
A 250GB drive will be seen as 230GB
240GB seen as 223GB
etc, etc

You simply need to Initialize that drive, Format, and give it a drive letter.
