I connected my laptop my my projector...
My laptop output is HDMI and projector input is VGA but there is no way am able to project anything ....there is no signal

Scottray is correct - - - HDMI is digital whereas VGA is analog - - the two are therefore not compatible without a converter. An "active" adapter converts signal from digital to analog.
