Recovering a "deleted" partition.

Any of these may work. You will almost certainly need a different physical drive to recover to, and a working OS to use.
Do NOT write anything to this drive until you see if you can recover anything from it.
Thanks, i have an external hard drive. also should i install windows 7 now?

Yes you are!! DO NOT do anything to that drive unless you know what you are doing. And if you 100% need those files back, call seagate or wd's data recovery company RIGHT NOW as it will be trivial for them to get it back in the current state of the drive. The more you mess with it, the harder it will be for them and the more it will cost you.

This is why backups are CHEAP.

The more you overwrite(installation or any operations as saving a file), the blocks are replaced with newer data.

So, if you are adding any more data to the same hard disk or partition precisely, you will end up recovering the newer data saved. Best is to not do anything to this hard disk. If you have another hard disk, make it as primary by installing an OS, connect this hard disk from which you want to recover data, as secondary, and recover from it with a recovery software.

Do not erase or reformat anymore, you will lose any chances left. If you need specific instructions, private message me.
