Ok, so everyone in my household has internet and seem to do just fine. I was playing a game, and than all of a sudden my internet went out and i have no idea why. I was still connected to the wifi network, i could search things up on google chrome, but when i tried to go to ny websites it wouldn't work. It would just tell me the connection was failed. I can't play any games, or do anything really. All i can pretty much access is youtube. Using youtube, I searched for videos and tried tons of tutorials, like typing in all the commands on the cmd, resetting my router, I even completely reset my pc but did not get rid of my files. I tried making a guest account, and more. I am typing this on a different pc which has internet. Using common sense, and the little i know about pc's, i'm guessing that it might be the computers problem. Although this might be the case, it just seems quite strange, because i was good one second, and than all of a sudden it just goes out on me. If someone could tell me how to fix it, and if it is my pc's problem that would be nice. Thanks

I didn't want to have to call anyone since i hate talking, but i think its time.. xD

Sorry ... I stepped away for a sec. Your computer is not getting past your router ... why? Don't know. I would take a look at your router's firewall log for starters and see if you see packets from your computer being blocked. Then look at the reason (rule) that is blocking it. Do you have your router model ... I would be happy to look at the owners manual and see if anything pops up.

I'll gret back to you on that tomorrow. It's getting really late and i have school. sorry xD

Okay, does anyone have any more ideas, or anything i could do to fix this? If not, i'll have to call my ISP. If no one else has any ideas, could you tell me how to get my ISP phone number so i could actually call them? thanks XD.

It maybe a issue with ipv4 vs ipv6. Your machine can talk to a dns server via IPv6 it appears. I would disable the IPv6 support and see what happens. It might make it worse if only the ipv6 is working.

This is not a ISP issue since other machines in your house work. It is either some issue with the machine or the router is blocking the traffic. Unless it is some strange setting in the IPv4 settings I would be most suspect of a firewall setting...likely in the pc but you can check the router also.

I see, could you tell me how to disable IPv6 support? I am also not sure how to check to see if it is a firewall, or how to check the router firewall settings either. Information on how to do this would be great. Thanks :)

I just called tech support for Comcast, and the guy i talked to said that it was most likely malware or viruses preventing windows from updating, or somewhere along those lines. I never talked to him about how the IPv4 had no connection, while the IPv6 did, because i didn't feel that it would have mattered. Could someone please tell me what i could do from here, because if it is malware i don't know what to do at this point.
