[SOLVED] I have 12GB RAM installed but system only sees 8GB ?

help! have 12gb ram (one ram 4gb one 8gb)
and system see only 8 gb.

One week before that everything was good. Anyone can help?

no. that was a old ram. im just unplug it and plug it back and no, thats no laptop

graphics: nvidia geforce gt 630 4gb

update: when im turn on computer i see a 4gb ram is installed but not 12gb
but in task manager i see a 8gb is declared.

Ouch. When i have only plugged adata memory it doesnt turn on

emm but i have very small usage of this 4gb ram at windows 7 computer

Becuz 2 gb of ram with just system is too much.
Before that i have a 33% usage of ram with juat pulpit

if the slot not working. get a new system. no point of wasting money
