I Have 2 CPUs?

Okay so I was looking around my PC and I looked at my device manager. It says I have 2 CPUs and they were the same. AMD A6-5400K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics. So do I delete one of them or leave them alone?

It's a dual-core CPU. My quad core i5 shows up as 4 CPUs in device manager.

My 6 core shows up as 12 thanks to hyperthreading fooling windows.

Yes - leave it alone, you really do have 2 cpus in one package.

That's normal, as you probably have two cores. It will show up as 2 CPUs when you have 2 cores, and 4 CPUs when you have 4 cores and so on.

What you're seeing is your CPU's dual cores in the device manager. Everything's normal just leave it alone.

Its way better to have two cpus. Defiantly keep the 2nd computer

Your CPU is a dual core CPU, it has two logical cores, and two threads, each core can run independently for a separate thread, ie, the more the number of cores the more the MULTITASKING you can do.
having multiple cores allows you to separate tasks between cores, improve the performance of multi thread optimized apps.
Deleting one of the cores is indeed, disastrous for your pc.
