I am requesting ideas on if I can repurpose two surplus dell poweredge T110 Xeon Quad core 2.4 ghz servers given their age, into anything useful around the house or would it be better to strip them for parts and build a new home PC?

If you can find 8GB of RAM or more, you could use one of them as a FreeNAS server.
