I have a Asus M5A97. Does it matter where I plug my SSD in?

Im seeing some people say it matters and some say it doesnt. All of them look to be labeled as 6gb.

The thing is, SATA ports 1-4 are clumped together, and 5-6 are a couple inches above them. But they are all white and the ports themselves look identical.

Im just making sure because I am having issues with my SSD write speed and trying to narrow down what could be the cause.

Samsung Evo 500gb. Read speed is 530 write is a whopping 10.

Someone mentioned it could be a faulty port or SATA cable. I also need to make sure AHCI is enabled from what ive read. I will try those solutions when I get home tonight. Really hope its not a motherboard issue or a defective ssd.

This samsung SSD is ok to use with my motherboard, right?
