I have a blank screen problem!!!

Hey so i just bought a PC for a client, and every now n then the screen to freeze into a solid colour. Its now red, but i think its caus ei changed the theme to a red colour.


Here are some specs:

AMD PHENOM II 3.2ghz
Gigabyte UD3H MG785GMT i think thats it.
700w psu
gigabyte 5870
4gb gskill ram, 1tb
z22 dvd
stock fan
windows 7 64 bit
and a viewsonic, 24" screen, cant member the model.

So yeah all went good, installed n everythin.

Then when he got home, now n then the screen would freeze a colour. no ctrl alt del, nothin.

Gotta restart. I updated EVERYTHING to do with the graphics card. And nothing....
Directx, driver, the ati suite. the whole thing.

Whats goin on :/



P.s its for flight simulator x gold editon or something, and this PC lags on even low settings, i cant imagine why when it recommends 1gb of ram... and the video card kicks ass. SSoooo... anyone know about that too?

bump, so ive disbaled the aero thing, set it to basic. Idk if its fixed it or not, but its strange that it happened on his 64bit win7, and not mine o.o

If anyone else has any ideas PLEASE lemme know.

Its just a blank screen with these lines running down it of the colour that the open window was.

So if my BG was red, the blank screen would be red etc.


Its wierd, but ive changed PCI slots, display ports, different screen, updating the video card drivers etc. Still, zip.....

So yeah



EDIT: Ok so i just went to check if the aero effects being disbaled worked... NOPE.

But then i felt the air coming from the case, its cool but a spot in the case is REALLY hot.
I feel the graphics card and its REALLY hot. Im not sure if its it or its coming from the west side of the motherboard. But its generating alot of heat.
So now im thinking the graphics card is overheating and thats the problem.



And suggestions?
