The one thing you should really do is to back up the data stored on the drive. It could fail and become inaccessible.
After that, you can see what is wrong with it: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

It is really up to you to decide whether you want a new computer or a hard drive. If you are happy with the performance, there's no need for a new computer. HDDs are not pricey.
