ok I haven't bought a motherboard for a few years now. I'm planning to upgrade my motherboard and buy a duron. I noticed they have these mini atx boards and they just have a few pci slots. are these a good deal? I only use 2 pci slots now (one for my ethernet card and one for my sound card) so I'm thinking a mini atx board with agp4x would be a better buy for me but I have no idea which one to get. I don't plan to overclock either. if I get one with sound built in I will just sell my sblive. I am also considering buying a new case. I want one with lots of room for cables and I heard some of them have slide in motherboard trays?? i think that would be awesome. but which one to get? i also need a suggestion on a good hard drive. i hear seagate is about the best but i wanted to check with some knowledgable people first. thanks for your help

For the motherboard's you are looking for, check out AMD's website (www.amd.com) and they will give a recommendation for motherboards for use with the Duron processor. A few of the recommendations are Abit, Asus, Iwill, Microstar. I haven't heard much about Microstar, however, the other three are good. As for the type of case you are looking for, Antec.com has some really good cases, and check out ColorCases.com..they have some really cool ones. I believe most ATX cases have slide out motherboard trays. I may be wrong, but from what I've read I think most do. You can also check out alot of other motherboards at Motherboards.com. For the harddrive, Seagate is very good. I personally like Quantum, their Fireball Plus LM has been getting very good reviews. IBM hard drives are good, but to me are rather pricey. And it also depends on if you want IDE or SCSI. If it's SCSI you are after, then Seagate or IBM would be the ones.

Hope this helps!

If you're getting a roomy case, why not get a full-sized motherboard? They'll allow for future upgrading.
