I have a gigabyte b75m-d3v motherboard which is a dual channel architecture motherboard. will corsair vengeance 8gb ddr3 x1 ram with quad channel architecture work on my motherboard?

Yes, it will work. But if you only have one stick, then it will run in single channel, or if you install 2 you will run in dual channel
