Question I have a gtx 670 (evga) and I’m getting a 165 hz monitor, when I plug the gtx 670 into the monitor, what will happen?

I’m asking what will happen because I don’t want my gtx 670 to get ruined because I know that gtx 670s are capped at 120hz. But on a 165 hz monitor, would it just automatically set to 120hz on the gtx 670?

The limit is in the version of HDMI/DP that the 670 uses. If it's able to reach 165 or 120 fps is a completely different thing.

In short, windows will output 120Hz to your monitor.
