i have a mac computer and only print photos in black and white. all of them print with a green hue. what to do?

I photograph in color and convert to black and white. On my mac, the prints are beautiful, but when i print them with the pro8600 they print with a greenish hue - not the black and white i converted the color photo to.

At a really rough guess, I would say something is wrong with your printer.

It's truly a really rough guess and wrong because the first thing i did was to connect with HP running through all possible explanations. The printer prints beautiful color prints but nowhere in printer preferences is there a black and white or even grey scale option. Thanks anyway for your input. It's appreciated.

My comment was more to point out that you have provided very little information for us to work with. The fact that you have already run through troubleshooting to eliminate the printer as the problem (?) is useful information to give when your asking whats wrong.
