I have a MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) MB and I just got a new cpu, computer will not boot.

I just got my new i7 3770k in the mail yesterday and installed it. I had no issues with the installation, other than when I went to boot my computer it ran for a moment and then kept attempting to restart. My screen stayed black, the fan was running for the cpu so I know it has power. I made sure everything was correctly hooked up. Should I try and do a reset on my motherboard, there is a button on it so at it can be reset a little easier. Any help would be amazing!!!

The P67 chipset does not support Ivy Bridge, like the 3770K, for that you need a Z77 chipset.



Oh and here is the mobos compatibility list. Not supported as per MSIs site.
