I have a PCIEX-16 slot on the Motherboard an Asus P5G4IT-MlX and I want to upgrade to a 27" Monitor, So I am looking for a new video card. . . I don't necessarily need gaming, but a speedy refresh is good . . . what cards would you recommend
Thanks for the advice

Hey Duck 500,
Assuming the resolution is 1920x1080 then I suggest going for a GTX 960 or 950. Otherwise a R7 370 or R9 380. They'll run everything easily and without any problems. No lag and they can be good for gaming if you want to game.

I suggest since gaming isn't a priority a GTX 950 or 750Ti otherwise a R7 370.

Many thanks for the reply Aleszandro 143 - However I am thinking of buying a monitor that has a resolution of (2560 x 1600) in that case would these cards work ? with my motherboard - some video cards are listed as PCIEX 3 X 16 My board is listed as PCIEX-16 all in all Ill have to try one and see.
