what would be better a 1080p Monitor at 240 hz Or a 4k Monitor at 144 hz what would be the better over all experience?

Highly subjective, but for me the 4k 144hz is POTENTIALLY a better experience, provided you have the hardware to drive it anywhere close to those specs. You're definitely into 2080ti territory if you want to run decent settings and actually achieve 144fps (depending on the game/application of course),

For what kind of games?

Would think 4k/144hz with a 2080ti would be amazing for most situations.

For competitive shooters where folks use low settings for max frames then probably 1080p/240hz.

Just looking for opinions here? There aren't many people that can see a difference between 144Hz and 240Hz. There are more but not a lot of people that have systems that can handle 240FPS. The monetary investment is also going to play a role.

I can't say which is better. It's like I'm trying to pick out prosthetics for someone who I can't see.
