I have an Fx-6300, 4g memory, and a r5 230. What to upgrade first? I need a new monitor as well, is a 1ms or 2ms worth it?

I know that these are low end specs, and I have no idea on what to upgrade first. My main problem is I am on a very limited budget because I need a new monitor as well. Is a fast ms response time monitor worth the cost? I understand that an FX-6300 is a decent processor and that the R5-230 is a low end GPU. I do not want to end up bottle-necking my PC so I would appreciate a little advice. Thanks!
-PS If i upgrade my video card, is my AMD chipset motherboard compatible?

What monitor are you currently using?

If you want to see an upgrade in gaming performance definitely get a new GPU. The energy efficient GTX 750ti would be a reasonable upgrade since you wouldn't have to buy a new power supply. It's likely the " 500W PSU " is just another junk unit that can't output its listed wattage. If you gave me an exact budget I could put together some parts on pcp and post it here.

You can upgrade your graphics card to any modern PCI card and not have to worry about compatibility.

Well, assuming I can get my one of my family members to buy me a monitor for Christmas, I will have about $200 that I would be willing to spend. I can be flexible but that would be my best estimate at this moment. My current monitor is so embarrassing that I don't even know what it is. All I know is that it is junk, about 9 years old an 18".

If you can get a monitor...

This would be a tremendous upgrade

Any current monitor will be an upgrade over a 9 year old monitor that is probably 16ms+, you should be able to get a 2ms monitor for similar price to the higher ms monitors for a similar price these days, just be careful because some of the ms ratings are rated differently depending on weather its grey-to-grey response or whatever they chose to rate it as. Do the graphics card first. upgrade to an r7 260x or gtx 750ti or better. the 750ti can run on a pretty low end psu so you may not have to upgrade the psu if you do that. another 4gb ram will help also, helps if its the same ram type as you currently have, preferably a matched pair, to avoid memory errors.

Sso will I notice a difference in fps between higher and lower . RazerZ suggested I get a 8ms response time monitor so will that be noticeably worse view than a 1ms or 2ms?
