my i7 8700 is only showing up with 3 cores 5 threads in CPU-z, I recently realised this was happening when playing bf 5 and getting framerate issues when I looked I realised my CPU was maxed out and gpu was on 50%

Hi Wiffles.

Type "msconfig" in the windows search bar at bottom left.

In the new menu that opened select the boot tab.

In the boot tab click on advanced options.

In the advanced options make sure the number of processors option is not checked. If it is uncheck it and reboot.
