[SOLVED] I have an old work computer I´m trying to get admin rites on running win 10 Pro

Hi, I purchased my laptop when I left the company. It is a Dell running win 10 Pro. I would like to regain admin rites so I suspect I need to restore the laptop. If I restore windows, will I need to have the win key or is this installed in bios? I´m no expert when it comes to restoring windows so any help is welcome, especially if there are other things I should take into consideration. Thanks in advance.

If the machine already has an activated windows 10 license, you won't need to enter the key if you reformat.
