Question I have an older system with an AMD 3900X processor, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM. Bottleneck on 4070 RTX video card?

Thinking of upgrading processor sometime within the next 6 months. Is the AMD 3900X that I have still decent and does it noticeably bottleneck an Nvidia 4070 RTX (which I also have)? Thanks

Ignore any "bottleneck" junk.

Put the GPU in.

Upgrade the CPU when you want/need.

NOTE: Putting in a better part (the GPU) does not make overall performance go down.

You should always list your monitor resolution with that question
In general your fine till the parts no longer give you the performance you need.
