i have been using hp i7 laptop for approximately 5 years but now the laptop doesnot opens without the charger plugged on it what is the reason

Probably that the battery is no longer holding a charge. Check to make sure the battery is properly installed and that there are no obstructions. If it's installed correctly, but you're not seeing it charge, then I'd probably contact HP and start asking about a replacement battery (or other tests to run).
