I have a old pc with amd phenom ii p920 1.6ghz quad-core processor and 1 gb ram. For some days it getting down unexpectedly. It happens at first within 1 hour now its down to 15 min. And one more thing my processor fan is not working.

It is overheating, and shutting down so that it won't actually explode.
Fix or replace the fan.

Take this system to someone qualified to work on laptops and have them clear any dust from it and replace the heat sink fan. Unless you've performed this type of task yourself before, I would not recommend attempting it yourself.
