Question I have GeForce GTx 1660 ti, Ryzen 5 2600, 16gb of ram and i cant get miencraft of 60 fps - PLEASE HELP

Hi, I recently just built a new gaming pc. It was a first time for me ,but seemed to boot up all right and there didn't seem to be an issue. Until I started playing games. I tested minecraft just because I wanted to make sure it would run the game fine. My specs I have are a ryzen 5 2600, GeForce Gtx 1660 ti graphics card, 16 gb of ram, 1 tb of storage, 650w power supply. I was only able to run minecraft at 60 frames max. My minecraft settings for fps were unlimited and my power saving settings were at high preformance. I installed all my drivers. I don't know what else could be wrong. Hoping someone could maybe guide me to a possible solution. I could really use the help. I can't even imagine what my Pc would run a game like Gta V. If anyone has any answers please let me know. Thanks

Whenever you hit 60FPS max I immediately think Vsync is on. Either in the game and/or drivers. Turn it off when benchmarking.

So should I go to the NVDIA control panel app? If so what settings should I change to get rid of this potential Vsync issue.

Make sure Vsync is turned off both in the drivers and minecraft.
