I have had three Toshiba Laptops and they all lasted 5-6 years, one is still going after 6, very affordable, just went with Ap

Just an opinion for those looking for a good laptop, offering experience with Toshiba.

Toshiba is no longer producing consumer laptops. When my wife's Toshiba died last month, we replaced with a HP. I also have a Asus that I have enjoyed.

You may be right. Not the clearest thread on the site. Still doesn't negate Toshiba's status.
