I have just put a new mother bourd in my computor Win 7 and i want to put in the wireless router password it wont type in lett

I want to put my password in my wireless router it will not type letters but it will type numbers I have been in to my control panel and it said it was working right, the computer is in another bedroom. I have deleted the software from my router and down loaded it back in to try that but no joy thanks Ray

Fn+numlk for laptops
Num lock key for pc
