Hi i am looking for some advice please :- Basically my rams official settings are :-

16gb ballistix tactical
1600mhz
8-8-8-24.15v

I currently have it set to 1866 mhz 8-8-8-24 1.5

I have run mem test and it works great.

My system is a AMD 8350 overclocked using the cpu ratio to 22.00 at 1.45 volts , works well etc.

But i am thinking can i tighten up the timings on my ram and make it run faster perhaps using a combination of the the FSB to push my cpu to 4500mhz and increase my ram MHZ at the same time ?

Also could the Cas timings etc be improved upon ? if so what speeds should i try ?

And if pushing my ram over 1866 mhz , do i need to increase the voltage of the ram ?

here are my full system specs :-

System spec

XFX pro 750w psu
Asus M5A97 LE r2.0 (latest bios) MB
16 GB ballistix Ram 1866mhz
8350 amd CPU
280x graphics
EVO212 HS and fan (fitted a few days ago )
Coolermaster case
EVO 840 SSD 240
Cruical 550 512 SSD
2 x regular HDS
1 x Blu Ray

pretty awesome you didnt need to up the voltage to get them to run at 1866mhz with the same timing.. cas 8 at 1866mhz is great

i find it hard to recommend increasing the fsb when you have a decent overclock as it is but if you want to get into that i suggest you do some reading up on the subject

actually your motherboard has no heatsinks on the vrm's and uses a 4+2 power phase and is decent but not for any higher of a overclock with a 8-core

your going to need to be happy with what you got going
