I have recently purchased a new board, memory, and CPU. The memory is only showing as 1600 in the BIOS main screen but it is 2

As title states I have some 2400 memory running as 1600. I understand there is a bit of a discussion about which is better, but this is the memory I have and if it's going to run at this timing but only 1600 I'm really losing out. (I'm assuming)

I have checked in the BIOS and changed the XMP profile between Disabled and #1 as well as changing the memory speed to 2400. The target speed also indicates 2400 but when I've navigated back to the main page under DRAM I'm seeing 1600.

I know I need to modify some settings in the BIOS but I was hesitant to do so, there's a lot of options and I'm unfamiliar with a many of them. I'm also using the stock cooling for the CPU and a fairly well ventilated case.

Solution
Enable XMP selec profile 1 (2400), save exit and boot to Win - check in CPU-Z (the memory tab) it will indicate a frequency of 1200 if you are at 2400 (it's DDR DOUBLE data rate)
