I have reinstalled Windows 7 onto my Compaq Presario CQ56 and now it can't find the internet

Sorry I'm not very tech savvy but I have just re installed windows 7 on my laptop and now it can't find any internet connections. The WiFi switch is on so it can't be that. I have tried to connect it via Ethernet but it just gives me the option to dial up?

You need to download the drivers for your machine, without them a lot of hardware will not work, what is the exact model of the laptop/notebook eg CQ56-***** and I will direct you to where you need to go and what you need to do.
