[SOLVED] I have this low end cpu which is running faster than base on light tasks

Solution
Example: On task manager, the cpu runs at 3ghz compared to it's base of 2.5, and it's amd, so is that normal?
What CPU and motherboard do you have?

Modern AMD cpu's run up to as high as their rated boost clocks in lightly threaded processing loads and only reduce clocks to the rated base clocks under heavier processing loads when the processor heats up. If given much better cooling they may never drop as low as base clock speed.

I'm not sure, but the laptop says "metapod_rr" in command prompt
