[SOLVED] I have to press the power button multiple times to get my pc to boot, once it works it turns on why does this happen

Could this just be the power button is warn out because once the power button works the PC is fine and works perfectly but today for example i had to press it i think 20 times to get it to boot. I thought it wasn't gonna boot to be honest what is causing this most likely i tried to check there is not a loose connection and it doesn't look like there is so I'm not sure what could be causing this.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Has the failure to boot been a problem for some time and now getting worse?

How old is the system/build? Case: make and model?

Could indeed be a faulty power button.

If you have a multi-meter and know how to use it (or know someone who does) then the button can be tested.
