I Have to push power button multiple times to start PC

My pc usually start up on 2-3 power button clicks but today it got worse ... i kept on pressing the button but nothing happens ... i unpluged the wires and remove the power SW connector and put it back ... after that my Pc turn on after 2-3 clicks on power button ... is it motherboard issue or my casing power button or power SW cable damaged ?

Is it an old case? If yes, then it's neither of them—Your case's power button is aging and getting heavy just like any other button in any device.

A way to test is wire the power button to the reset button on the case. If it starts up as normal, then the power button may be worn out.

i connected the reset on the case for my CPU power instead of power Sw wire ... still it starts after pushing the button 2-3 time harder. i dont know what exactly the issue is.
