Question I have to remount my AIO.

I got new thermal paste (my AIO only came with a single use packet) coming tomorrow and a cleaning kit arriving in 1-2 weeks. Since I just installed the AIO a couple days ago can I just use a coffee filter to wipe it clean or should I wait and clean it properly? lol I'm seriously chomping at the bit to get this build finished. It seems to me that cleaning kits are more for cleaning after the cooler has been installed for a while. But what do I know this is my first PC build. So would it be OK to go ahead and remount tomorrow?

It's like about impossible to find right now thanks to covid. The few local stores I've called are sold out. If I order some online it'll get here at the same time as the cleaning kit. Was hoping fresh paste could just be wiped up. Oh well.

But I'm just going to try some elbow grease since it's fresh. If that doesn't work I'll just wait for the kit. I already spent the money on it after all.
