I Have To Set Games On High Priority Or I Will Lag/Stutter All Of A Sudden

The past 2 months my games have been lagging and getting low fps unless i set the priority to "above high" or "high". Before I got 120fps on Rainbow Six Siege and that was it but now i get 70 with stuttering when unless I change priority in task manager and even then it seems slower, this is the same for every other games(I never changed the settings in the games). Any ideas on how to fix this or reasons why, its getting really annoying?

Windows 10
i5-4690k
gtx 1060 6gb
8gb ram ddr3
