I just bought a GTX 1080 msi version

do i need to install any kind of software or do any kind of tweks to get performance or optimised cooling ?

No, card will run how it neeeds to be run, as the msi has led control you can install it but i think its useless.

Just go to nvidia site, download latest dtivers (select manual) , choose your windows and download-install.

Unless you're a geek and want to tweak things you need nothing other than latest nvidia drivers.
