You got a 9800GTX + or a GTX 980? There is a world of difference.

A 6 pin PCI-E connector supplies 75 watts. An 8 pin PCI-E connector supplies 150 watts.
When you install the 980, use a twin 8 pin cable, and leave 2 pins unused on the 6 pin plug. They were designed to work this way, which is why 2 pins are just next to the other 6, and not solidly attached to the 6 pin part.

I generally suggest 600w or 650w for a video card like the 980. I believe most companies suggest a 550w power supply minimum, but you really do not want to be running your power supply at 100% load when gaming. Power supplies function best when running at 50% to 60% loads.
