Can i connect to my landlords internet by using a wireless router even if were in a different unit?

If the signal is weak, how would the other Wireless router improve the signal? Propagating a weak signal won't improve overall transmission even though your perception of the signal will be strong. The connection won't be stronger than the weakest link.

Consider asking your Landlord if you can provision a better antenna and experiment with antenna orientation/location. Perhaps even a newer higher-quality router with multiple antennas.
