I have a Toshiba laptop. I'm running Vista. Windows Explorer does not show my disk drive. I have gone to the device manager and uninstalled and reinstalled it. I checked and the driver is up-to-date. I have opened
and closed the drive. Rebooted. What else can I try? Thanks!

Start menu> Type regedit in the search box and hit enter>Registry editor will open.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> expand system> expand CurrentControlSet> expand control >expand class > then click on the folder that starts with 4D36E965. It will be the first 4D in the list. Then, under the column NAME, delete any entry that says UpperFilter or LowerFilter. Then exit and reboot.
