I my memory too high?

I have a intel i7 980 with the stock cooler and wanted to upgrade the cooler, i saw the scythe ninja 3 witch is cool as balls but i dont think it will fit with my ram (18gb of corsair vengeance, 3x4 3x2)
If it doesnt fit what are good cheap coolers since im on a budget 🙂

It looks like it will fit. DDR3 RAM is pretty cheap nowadays if you are pretty sold on the scythe. You can mount the fans in any direction so if push comes to pull (haha omg) you can change the orientation of the fans, and you can fit RAM as high as you like.

Isn't my ram directly under the heatsinc? My mobo is pretty packed (asus 56x8d-e or something), i dont worry so much about the fans
